Laverous
Alliance Defence Force is mainly a social guild of over 350 members, accepting all levels. We participate in all facets of the game including providing a place for lower levels to group and level faster, Fun Events, Premade Battleground PvP, Arena PvP, Instances and Raids. We aim to provide an enjoyable atmosphere to all members and providing tools to make game life a little easier, such as Vent server, Forums and tips on the website. The fun events, held monthly, aim to allow an extra platform of interaction between the "highbies" and "lowbies" to help allow everyone to get to know each other a little better.
Past fun events include:
- Amazing Race
- Contestants were placed into teams consisting of highbie and lowbie, and given a clue, sending them to get a certain item or set of items, or to the next "waypoint". Some of these clues were relatively cryptic and working out what had to be done ended up being more of a challenge than actually completing the task. The race took the teams from the Deeprun Tram, into Ironforge to collect fruit and bread, back to Deeprun Tram, then to Stormwind City to collect some Merlot, then a cryptic clue led to Crystal Lake in Elwynn Forest. Here teams had to collect candles from kobolds, but the task had a twist to it... Most human players remember the candle quest in Fargodeep mine, however, candles do not drop off these Kobolds, however they do drop from the kobolds around Northshire (yes, the Level 1 starting area). Most teams got stuck on this clue and ended up running to Stormwind to buy some candles. From here the race took our teams to Westfall where the task was to collect the ingredients for Westfall stew, then another cryptic clue sent them to Sven's camp in Northwest Duskwood, where fishing was the order. From here, our contestants were given a final task of a run down to Booty Bay (considering teams consisted of lowbie and highbie this was a bit of a challenge). In Booty Bay they had to find Laverous (who had found a nice little hiding spot to fish at) to claim a win. There was some fine print on the clue though, if you took a gryphon to Booty Bay, Kaibis was waiting with a forced Portal back to Ironforge (as one unfortunate team found out). The day was won by Sterndeath and Arize.
- Stockades Sprints
- Contestants once again met at Haggles in the Deeprun Tram, to be taken to Stockades. Here teams were chosen consisting of a highbie (or combination of midbies) and a lowbie (who got to collect all the loot). Starting orders were then given and the teams ran into the Stockades, in a time trial style clearing session. Teams were awarded 100 points for completing first, and following teams lost 1 point per minute that passed from there. There were several runs, with final winners being declared at the end of the event. Door prizes were also handed out and a good time was had by all.
Players wishing to join the guild can either post a Membership Application on the forums, or can contact one of the Alliance Defence Force members ingame.
Some important things about offences that will result in being kicked from the guild (until the discipline page is made).
- Spamming and general annoyance in Trade or General channel
- This behaviour will result in a GKICK
- Scamming (including Trade Scams) other members or just non-member players
- This behaviour is not tolerated by blizzard and can end up having your account suspended. As far as the guild is concerned: Immediate GKICK
- Abuse of guild officers
- This behaviour will result in a warning and then either being put in Punishment for assessment by Commander or Lieutenant Commander, or GKICK
- Abuse of guild members
- This behaviour will result in a warning from an officer, followed by demotion or put in Punishment for assessment by Commander or Lieutenant Commander.
